Karla Washington

HR Consultant

Karla Washington is a Human Resource Director at WorkLLama LLC, a technology start-up company that is an AI-driven SaaS (Software as a Service) talent platform.  She handles all aspects of HR - recruitment, employee engagement, professional development, payroll (US and UK), employee relations, analysis of benefits, and designing and updating company policies.

Prior to joining WorkLLama, Karla spent 10 years at Bain & Company, a management consulting company, doing recruitment, talent management, and managing their Career Center.  Prior to this, she spent over 15 years in the Financial Services industry managing client services and cash processing.

Karla sits on the board of Morgan Bay Youth Village, an  organization founded to support and strengthen youths to reach their unique and personal g​oals in order to have a brighter future; she is a member of Unit 296 – American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 5218-B of the NAACP, a committee member of the National Ethical Conduct Committee with the American Legion Auxiliary, and most recently joined as a member of the 2025 HR Roundtable Advisory Committee.

Karla holds a Bachelors in Business with a minor in Human Resources from the University of Phoenix and is a SHRM Certified Professional.   She is also a Certified Life Coach.

During her free time, Karla loves to travel the world (Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, Belize, Delhi and Goa to name a few of her favorites), spending time with her two granddaughters and family, and watching her favorite NFL team, the Philadelphia Eagles.  Even though she loves to cook, she is a foodie at heart and loves to try new cuisines.
