Growing up in an underserved region of Puerto Rico, Jen witnessed firsthand the transformative power of equitable education on individuals and communities alike. With a 16 year career dedicated to the education and non profit sectors, Jen has passionately advocated for social justice, community engagement, and the creation of inclusive educational environments. As the Founder and CEO of SimplyLead, she has spearheaded initiatives in conflict liberation work, action driven co-design work and social impact work creating cultures of belonging across all sectors.

Known for her exceptional problem-solving abilities, Jen excels in codifying processes and procedures across school systems and organizations. Her expertise lies in dismantling and re-creating system designs, empowering Black and Brown students and adults to thrive in inclusive environments. With her unwavering dedication to social justice and a profound desire to create lasting change, Jen continues to inspire and empower those around her through her transformative work.

One fun aspect of Jen’s life is her passion for endurance challenges. She once conquered a 75-mile trail race through the rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains, an experience that ignited her enduring love for trail running and still runs Spartan and other endurance races. Outside of the trails, Jen loves sharing her Puerto Rican heritage through the art of cooking, often treating friends and colleagues to the rich flavors of her island.
